9:00 – 9:15 a.m.                     Welcome – Fred Hazelwood, District Manager, District One

9:15 – 9:25 a.m.                     Tour instructions – Staci Martin, District Program Specialist

9:25 – 10:00 a.m.                   Tour First Landing State Park

                        * Indian camp and burial grounds

                        * Bald Cypress boardwalk nature trail

                        * van tour to 64th Street / “ Narrows ”

                        * van tour to Chesapeake Bay Center and beach

 

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.                   Lunch – Trail Center

1:30 p.m.                                Depart for tour of False Cape State Park and Back Bay

2:30 p.m.                                Arrive at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, visit center, transition to park vehicles

3:30 p.m.                                Arrive in False Cape for park tour by park staff, Welcome – Kyle Barbour, Park Manager

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.                     “Conviviality” Session @ Visitor Center

6:30 p.m.                                Dinner – “ Back Bay Sunset Cookout ”
