Free Trees for State Parks

The Odwalla "Plant A Tree Program" is in its third year. This year, $200,000 will be divided among the 50 states based on votes cast at the Odwalla web site.

Make a quick visit to www.odwalla.com/plantatree , and with a couple of clicks, you can vote for Virginia State Parks . Each vote is worth $1.00, which may not seem like much, but last year our state park system received $23,577 from Odwalla. This spring that money was used to plant hundreds of trees in Virginia State Parks that will offer shade, beauty, and wildlife habitat for many years to come.

Last year, Virginia finished second in total votes behind Michigan. This year, let's be first! Please vote, spread the word to your family, friends, organizations, etc., and ask them to vote as well.

The program has begun, and the dollars go very fast. In the past two years, the program has been "sold out" within five weeks, so please vote today and spread the word.

Thanks for your continuing support of Virginia's parks.
