Dear Senators:

Virginia needs your help on S 2747.

S 2747 would reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund, fully fund it, and take it off budget, but, the bill provides no guarantee that the states will receive a share of the funding.

Present law guarantees the states a 40 percent share. Further, HR 3435 would guarantee states a 50 percent share of the funding.

Please co-sponsor and support S 2747 with the stipulation that it guarantee the states either a 50 percent share of the funding or a minimum of 40 percent as guaranteed under present law.
