Virginia Association for Parks conferences are for dues paying individual and group members to come together and discuss ways to better support Virginia’s parks. Virginia State Parks host the conferences that generally consist of a gathering on Thursday night, excursions and in park activities on Friday (ending with a dinner and speaker on Friday night) and a business meeting on Saturday morning. Individuals and group representatives at the sustaining membership level or higher are invited to participate. A reasonable conference fee covers the costs for the event. New Study Finds for Every $1 Invested in Land Conservation, $4 in Natural Goods and Services is Returned to Virginia Economy
An economic analysis conducted by The Trust for Public Land found that for every $1 invested by Virginia in land conservation, $4 in natural goods and services is returned to the state’s economy. The study, conducted in partnership with VIRGINIAforever and The Nature Conservancy, quantifies and summarizes the significant economic benefits resulting from investments in state parks, natural areas, forests and working lands.
